Covid-19 Health and Safety Protocols

Fandemic Tour is committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and fun event in Atlanta for our attendees, celebrity guests, comic creators, exhibitors, and staff.  The following protocols will apply to help ensure that.

Do I have to be vaccinated against Covid-19 to attend?

You do not have to be vaccinated to attend; however, you will not be allowed to remove your mask for photo ops if you are not fully vaccinated unless an individual guest allows it.  Proof of vaccination can be provided at registration when you check-in.

Do I have to wear a mask?

In accordance with current CDC recommendations, everyone over age 5 is required to wear a CDC-approved mask that covers both your nose and mouth while inside the show and panel rooms.  Masks may be removed when eating or drinking only while standing or seated in one place.  Additionally, individual guests may elect to have attendees remove their mask once they reach the autograph table, but that is completely up to the guest’s discretion.

What is a CDC-approved mask?

You can visit the CDC website, https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/prevent-getting-sick/about-face-coverings.html, for guidance on selecting an appropriate mask.

Are there any exceptions to the Mask Policy?

                No, there are no exceptions.

I can’t wear a mask, what are my options?

Please reach out to us before the opening date of the show at Sales@CAConventions.com if you are unable or unwilling to wear a mask.  We will assist you in rolling your purchase over into 2022.

How will you enforce the Mask Policy?

We will remove anyone without a mask from the show floor immediately and they will not be readmitted.  We will remind those who are not wearing a mask correctly (covering both nose and mouth) of the requirements.  Failure to comply will result in permanent removal from the show.

But I don’t want a mask in my Photo Op.

Most guests will allow fully vaccinated attendees to remove their mask, briefly, during the Photo Op.  However, the decision is ultimately up to each guest.  We will communicate an individual guest’s preference in the Photo Ops area.  We’re all excited to see one another, but we ask that you be respectful of each guest’s individual preference.

I’m a cosplayer and a mask doesn’t work with my costume.

Everyone must wear a mask.  You are free to incorporate the mask into your cosplay!  However, please be aware that if your costume includes a full face-covering of single-ply material, it does not qualify as a CDC-approved mask.

Will you be doing temperature checks?

We will temperature check everyone that enters the Photo Ops area.

What can I expect during Photo Ops?

·         Temperature checks will be performed prior to admission to the photo ops queue.

·         Only those participating in the photo op will be allowed in the queue.  As always, we will permit one attendant for those who require special accommodations.

·         We will allow plenty of extra space in the queue so that appropriate social distancing can be maintained while waiting.  Please respect that distance.

·         Masks are required while waiting in line.

·         Each guest will decide their level of comfort, so guidelines will vary by guest.  Most guests will not allow mask removal in the photo op for those who are not fully vaccinated.

·         Most guests will not handle fan-provided props.

·         Our official policy is no hugging or touching.  Some guests may elect to allow either or both.  Please remember that it is completely up to the guest and respect their individual decision.

What can I expect during Autographs or Selfies?

·         Only those who have purchased an autograph or selfie will be allowed in the queue.  As always, we will permit one attendant for those who require special accommodations.

·         We will allow plenty of extra space in the queue so that appropriate social distancing can be maintained while waiting.  Please respect that distance.

·         Each guest will decide their level of comfort, so guidelines will vary by guest.  Masks are required while waiting in line.

·         Most guests will not handle fan-provided props.

·         Guests will use Fandemic provided paint pens and sharpies to sign with.  We will provide an assortment of colors.

·         Our official policy is no hugging or touching.  Some guests may elect to allow either or both.  Please remember that it is completely up to the guest and respect their individual decision.

What can I expect during Panels?

We will use appropriate social distancing in the panel rooms to allow for extra space between attendees. Please be respectful of any rows or seats that are blocked off to help keep everyone safe.  Masks are required during panels.

Can these protocols change before the show?

In short, yes.  We continue to monitor the situation with the appropriate city, state, and federal authorities and will update our policies as necessary to maintain compliance with current recommendations.  We will post these changes here on our website.

Accessibility Policies

Fandemic Tour prides itself on putting all of our attendees first!  We are committed to a first-rate, inclusive experience for all, regardless of their need for any special services.

I’ve purchased an Admission and need special services. What happens next?

Redeem your admission in the appropriate VIP or General Admission area.  Then proceed to the Guest Services booth where you will receive a special wristband that identifies you to our staff as an attendee who may require special assistance.

I require a medical companion.  Must they purchase admission?

Yes, everyone who attends must purchase admission and fully comply with the Health and Safety Protocols.  Your companion need only purchase a general admission ticket, regardless of the admission level that you have purchased.  They will be allowed to accompany you into all VIP areas but must remain with you to be admitted into VIP areas.

What about Photo Ops and Autographs?

We will provide additional seating areas throughout the convention space, near the autograph areas and included in the photo ops area.  Many of our guests have limited windows for autographs and photo ops.  As a result, and to be fair to all attendees, we cannot allow anyone to bypass the line or queue in the VIP line – unless you have purchased a VIP package.  You may have your medical companion (or any companion) wait in line for you and then switch once you are near the front of the line OR we can provide a return time that will result in minimal wait time.

Are Accessible seats reserved in panels?

Wherever possible, we will reserve accessible seats.  Panels fill up early, and we do not guarantee that there will be accessible seating for all.  We suggest arriving early to panels for the best chance of securing accessible seating.

What about Wheelchairs?

Fandemic Tour does not provide wheelchairs.  Please check with the individual convention center to determine wheelchair availability for each of our events.
